Shopping for flowers has come quite a way since the 80’s highstreet formats, becoming lifestyle destinations in their own right. The NEW Daylesford garden shop on it’s HQ farm in The Cotswolds caters for those seeking a different (albeit a remortgaging) kind of retail experience.
The Bamfords trusted architect created the new addition to the farm property that sits in contrast to the stone buildings prevalent at Daylesford. Bright, airy and white is the vibe of the moment was an unexpected twist.
Just when the vaulted white space seams to step away from cosy earthy stone synominous with The Cotswolds, the balance between materials kicks in. The almost clinical atmosphere connects through glass doors into the new garden workshop, created from the space between the old farm shop and the new extension.
From inside the workshop, there is a window peeping into the cheese room reminding us that everything about Daylesford is laid out, styled, set and merchandised to appeal on a level like no other.
